Comet Hartley 2

NASA's robotic space probe EPOXI/Deep Impact approached Comet Hartley-2 on November 4, 2010, for the fifth – and closest – time. The probe, which came within approximately 700 kilometers (435 miles), returned the first ever photographs of the comet’s nucleus.

These images were taken around the approximate time of closest approach. Although this image is unprocessed, some surface features of the comet’s icy nucleus are visible. For instance, jets appear to be ejecting vapor into space along the comet’s bottom right-hand surface. (Further analysis will have to wait until higher resolution, processed photographs become available.)

Understanding Auroras

In 2007, NASA launched THEMIS (Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms), a 2-year mission to improve the understanding of how severe space weather effects on Earth.

The mission consisted of five identical probes that orbit the earth and line up over the United States every four days. In this artist's rendering, THEMIS' main orbits are represented by red ovals. Blue lines represent the Earth's magnetic field. The white flash represents energy released during substorms.

Hidden Black Holes found

A host of hidden black holes have been revealed in a narrow region of the sky, confirming astronomers' suspicions that the universe is loaded with many undetected gravity wells.
Black holes cannot be seen directly, because they trap light and anything else that gets too close. But astronomers infer their presence by noting the behavior of material nearby: gas is superheated and accelerated to a significant fraction of light-speed just before it is consumed.
The activity releases X-rays that escape the black hole's clutches and reveal its presence.

The most active black holes eat so voraciously that they create a colossal cloud of gas and dust around them, through which astronomers cannot peer. That sometimes prevents observations of the region nearest the black hole, making it impossible to verify what's actually there.
These hyperactive black holes are called quasars. They can consume the mass of a thousand stars a year and are thought to be precursers to large, normal galaxies. The exist primarily at great distances, seen as they existed when the universe was young.
A few quasars have been identified, but many more are thought to await discovery, based on the total number of X-rays detected in broad sky surveys.
"From past studies using X-rays, we expected there were a lot of hidden quasars, but we couldn't find them," said study leader Alejo Mart'nez-Sansigre of the University of Oxford, England.
New observations with NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope cut through dust to spot quasars blocked by their own clouds, as well as other quasars hidden inside galactic dust.
Spitzer records infrared light, which penetrates dust. It found 21 quasars in a small patch of sky.
"If you extrapolate our 21 quasars out to the rest of the sky, you get a whole lot of quasars," said study team member Mark Lacy of the Spitzer Science Center at the California Institute of Technology. "This means that, as suspected, most super-massive black hole growth is hidden by dust."

A.R Rehman (The musical storm)

Music is the divine element on earth which binds us to God with a ray of spirituality. Music is life and it is full of beautiful feelings and we all are somehow related to it. Only some of us are gifted with a precious quality to contribute in the language of music but we all can understand it,this is the unique beauty of music which makes it very special element.
From past three decades, I see a image of  a normal person standing and keeping his arms open wide whenever I did thought of music and felt it. Later on with passing years I realized that he is not a normal man but defenitly the face of God who represents the music and who fed enormous strength and power of music in human beings and brought us more close to music. He is the face of God who represents music on Earth, he is none other than The A.R.REHMAN.... The Storm of Music on earth and in entire universe which exists.

His devotion and excellence in creating unbelievable evergreen master pieces of music which surely inspires every person who has listened to him, he is exceptional and still he is doing it with very ease and surprising all of us.
With the time, he is reaching very close to god by his supreme power and perhaps we are also following him through his creations and falling in love with each of his musical step.

Today again he created something which I loved very much so I am sharing with all of u and surely you will do so...

Let us salute him and say loud and clear.... JAI HO.

TIGERS MAY EXTINCT

Tigers are one of the most beautiful creatures on earth and they were one of the leading emperors of forests but this truth is turning to be a myth now and a day is not far when their will be a satellite search for the few tigers alive whom can be counted on fingers.
Their will be a new PhD Research study and also lot of biological experiments to again raise the roaring tigers but which will be almost impossible because of the curiosity and diplomatic clash of titan unions of human beings to defeat each other. Let us take a pledge and lets take at least possible steps to contribute in saving the tigers and also all interruptions by human beings in the rule of natural life.

Life must go on and so the game but we should not cheat god by disturbing or harming its balance. Join hands and please spread the awareness to save the tiger so the life and nature.
